"Love & War"
There is so much to say about the last month yet everytime I sit down to scribble out some thoughts I get "Writers block", "Brian freeze"... a mental-spiritual-word paralysis. God's doing some pretty disruptive stuff and, seemingly, not allowed me to write about it. I hope to soon
I'd appreciate your prayers in so many ways. Thank you.
I did wanted to tip you off to an offer Ransomed Heart is making. God is doing some incredible things in marriages through John and Stasi's new book, Love and War.... and to get the "word" out we're giving away a free copy of Love and War to the first 500 bloggers to respond. We would love to have our blogging allies take a few minutes and write a blog on amazon.com review on Love and War. If you have interest in receiving a free copy of Love and War, click here! Craig,
Patience is tough sometimes. I know - I was born 3 months premature, and I've remained impatient my whole life! The thoughts will come soon enough. When God allows, you will write pages. It will be as natural as breathing.

I understand the mental-spiritual-word paralysis, Craig. I "suffer" from that also. For a while now it has seemed that God would prefer me to quietly ponder in my heart all he is doing in my life rather than search for the words to voice it on paper. It's actually been a gift.
Thinking of you, praying for you, hoping you are well...

There is a season...I know that it all will come to you and you will overflow into all of us as you have for so long. Until then I will wait in prayer for you my friend.

Believe me, I understand. Perhaps it isn't so much writer's block as it is "guys'" block. I seem to have had a lot of that the past two-three years, and always right at the brink of what would be a breakthrough. Hmmm. The words will come, though. I've decided to respond to the call you have put out here, and that Stasi did in slightly more detail on her blog. I'll be writing something! I'll keep you lifted up in prayer as I do so.

God needs to show Himself to you in a private, personal way. It is time to receive that gift without the weight of guilt of not sharing( ie. with another post). Dive into that level of intimacy without reservation and child-like abandon. Your Heavenly Father will amaze you even if you think all is falling apart.
PROVERS 3:5-12
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this.

Hey Craig, don't sweat it! God will give you the words at exactly the right time for you and for us. Sometimes I think He does stuff just for us, and not for us to share...at least for a time. So know that we're praying and we love you bro!

Jesus,
May you equip Craig to stand next to you, head against your chest and rest. Then let him stand back and shed everything he is needed to be and thinks he is supposed to be. Let those things fall to the ground like ill-fitting clothes and with them the need to be found worthy in them. Let Craig raise his hands, then fingertip to toes fill him with your strength, security, "chosen" son-ship, grace, healing and a picture of this "disruptions" redemption.
Then, again, may Craig rest head against your chest.
By and through the Holy and Precious, Full-hearted, Soul-Loving Name of Jesus. Amen

On the subject of Love and War, I am not married (yet-- I will be on July 9), but reading it with my fiancee, then sharing the book with friends has blessed us and our friends.

I already have the book and I am reading it with my husband. God is messing with me. :) I did respond that first day about the blog, but have not received the book yet. I want to give it away on my blog. Any thoughts?
